Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Square POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and safety standards.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS operations efficiently while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, dining space, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is highly preferred.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in serving or food industry roles is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
