Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a non-emergency ambulance vehicle to transport patients to their destinations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, patients, hospitals, medical facilities, management, and other drivers
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and patient or cargo information while following HIPAA compliance laws.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure its safety and reliability
- Assist patients with boarding and disembarking via stretcher
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Current EMT GA license
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with patients and co-workers
- Ability to lift heavy objects if required for the job. This position requires individuals who are reliable, responsible, and have a strong commitment to safety.
