Commercial Construction Superintendent – Hospitality & Multifamily
Ranchers Group is a developer-minded commercial builder specializing in select-service hospitality, multifamily, and complex commercial construction projects nationwide.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our growing operations team. This position will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure quality execution from mobilization through project completion.
The ideal candidate is a proven field leader with experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably select-service hotels, extended-stay hotels, multifamily, or similar multi-story projects.

Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Project Execution
- Lead daily onsite construction operations from mobilization through closeout.
- Manage subcontractor coordination and daily workflow.
- Maintain project schedule and identify potential delays before they impact milestones.
- Conduct daily jobsite planning and coordinate upcoming activities.
- Verify subcontractor manpower commitments and production performance.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient project environment.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Perform quality-control inspections and ensure work meets contract documents.
Schedule Management
- Maintain short-term and three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Identify critical path activities and schedule risks.
- Coordinate material deliveries and long-lead items.
- Communicate schedule impacts proactively with Project Management.
Subcontractor Management
- Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, manpower, safety, and quality.
- Document deficiencies and corrective actions.
- Assist Project Managers with subcontractor performance evaluations.
Documentation & Communication
- Complete daily reports using construction management software.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including:
- Daily logs
- Photos
- Safety observations
- Inspection records
- Delivery tracking
- Progress updates
- Communicate professionally with:
- Project Managers
- Owners
- Architects
- Inspectors
- Subcontractors
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years commercial construction superintendent experience
- Proven experience managing ground-up or major renovation commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Architectural drawings
- Structural drawings
- MEP plans
- Specifications
- Strong understanding of:
- Scheduling
- Quality control
- Safety compliance
- Subcontractor coordination
- Ability to manage multiple trades and competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, email, and digital construction platforms

- Experience working on projects valued at $10M+
Certifications
Required:
✅ OSHA 30 Construction Certification
Preferred:
- OSHA 510 / OSHA 500
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- LEED experience
- Procore, Contractor Foreman, Autodesk Build, or similar construction management software experience
