About Us:
Velocity HQ is an indoor basketball facility that specializes in teaching kids ages 4-17 the fundamentals of basketball. We also offer court rentals, 1-on-1 basketball training, AAU teams, and seasonal basketball camps.

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Basketball Coach that is also wiling to work as a Velocity HQ team player, leading, and assisting where needed.
Responsibilities:
- Coach engaging 1-hour basketball classes for athletes ages 4–18.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate drills that develop fundamentals, confidence, and game understanding.
- Create a positive, energetic, and supportive learning environment for every player.
- Teach proper basketball techniques while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to athletes and parents.
- Greet families and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a safe and organized gym before, during, and after each class.
- Set up and put away basketball equipment before and after classes.
- Keep basketballs, training equipment, courts, and facility areas clean and in good condition.
- Take attendance and communicate any schedule changes or player concerns to management.
- Assist with class check-ins, evaluations, and new student introductions.
- Help promote programs by creating a welcoming experience that encourages student retention.
- Support camps, clinics, birthday parties, special events, and other programs as needed.
- Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and staff to provide a consistent experience for every family.
- Represent the company with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Previous Basketball Coaching/Playing experience.
- Perform all physical aspects of the position, including being mobile, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds at a time
- Must be knowledgeable on the game of basketball
- High energy personality
- Works well with children (boys and girls) of all ages (4yrs-18yrs)
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, attentive, and motivating.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
