Non-CDL Driver / Yard Worker

Full-Time Home Every Night$20–$25/hr Based on Experience
Haselton Lumber is hiring a Non-CDL Driver / Yard Worker to deliver building materials across the Adirondacks and help keep our yard running between runs. You'll be home every night. No overnights, no long-haul.
This is a good fit if you like a mix of driving and physical work. If you take pride in doing a job right, and you don't mind hard work in any weather. You'll be the person our customers see on site, so how you carry yourself matters as much as how you drive.
What You'll Do
- Deliver lumber and building materials to job sites and homes in a non-CDL truck (under 26,001 lbs)
- Load, secure, and unload materials safely using liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Check every order before you leave and confirm it with the customer on site
- Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report anything that needs attention
- Help load trucks, stage orders, and keep the yard squared away when you're off the road
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license and a clean record (no major violations in the last 3 years)
- At least 2 years driving, box truck experience a plus
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Can lift up to 75 lbs regularly and stay on your feet through a full shift
- Comfortable working outside year-round, snow included
- Reliable and on time. Our customers plan their day around our deliveries.
A plus if you've hauled building materials, know the local roads, or have a forklift cert. None of that is required. We'll train the right person.
