Buffalo Prairie Care Center is seeking dependable, compassionate, and hardworking individuals to join our Housekeeping Department. Our housekeeping team plays an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff.

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, offices, bathrooms, and other designated areas. This position helps ensure compliance with infection control standards and promotes a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests.
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, and hand sanitizer.
- Follow established infection prevention and safety procedures.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the facility.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervisors.
- Assist with room preparation for new admissions and resident transfers.
- Follow facility policies regarding chemical handling and equipment use.
- Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Work cooperatively with residents, families, and fellow team members.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be reliable, professional, and compassionate.
