We're looking for someone to join our team as a Float Quality Improvement Specialist-BH who:
The Float-Quality Improvement Specialist-BH is a highly flexible, cross-functional member of the Behavioral Health Quality team. This position is responsible for supporting quality improvement initiatives and activities across multiple Behavioral Health programs and sites, including both mental health and substance use disorder services. Under general supervision, the Float Quality Improvement Specialist – BH coordinates compliance activities, conducts audits, monitors documentation standards, and provides data reporting to support organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Unlike site-based roles, this position is not assigned to a single program or location and is expected to provide coverage and support wherever operational needs arise, including simultaneous assignments across multiple programs. The Float Quality Improvement Specialist - BH has a vital role in maintaining continuity of quality operations during staffing gaps, high-volume periods, or special projects.
Essential Functions:
Successful with the following qualifications:

Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field preferred; experience may substitute.

Familiarity with Kern County DBH processes and contract requirements preferred.

Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.

Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and time management skills in dynamic environments.

Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Pass DMV background check.
