The Food Service Coordinator (Cook) is responsible for all aspects of managing a food service operation including planning, purchasing, cooking, serving and sanitation for 100 children daily from six weeks to 11 years old. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cook and direct serving of breakfast, snack and lunch daily
- Develop and coordinate menus using USDA Child and Adult Care Program (CACFP) guidelines
- Cook will do food shopping using approved vendors
- Purchase food within approved budget
- Write and modify recipes to meet guidelines
- Prepare and file food production records according to CACFP guidelines
- Itemize receipts and compile monthly statement for CACFP claims
- Responsible for general sanitation in kitchen
- Supervise meal-time sanitation in children’s programs
- Responsible for organization of kitchen including food, equipment and required records
- Responsible for routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen appliances
- Responsible for training, supervision and evaluation of dietary aides
- Cook will obtain ServSafe certification
- Ability to work within Microsoft Office programs
