Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures.
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments using chairside assisting techniques, including handing instruments and managing dental materials.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols using aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination.
- Operate digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and updating medical history in EMR systems like Dentrix or Epic.
- Monitor vital signs when necessary, especially in pediatric dentistry or special cases requiring additional medical attention.
- Support general dentistry procedures across multiple specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR systems), especially Dentrix or Epic.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
- Experience with dental radiography including X-ray operation and safety measures.
- Understanding of dental terminology

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
