Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install different insulation materials according to blueprint specifications and project requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and other designated areas
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation aligned with project plans
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper ladder use, power tool safety procedures, and climbing techniques
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered during installation
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on insulation installation preferred but not mandatory; training provided for motivated candidates
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required for precise installation
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to climb ladders safely and work at heights comfortably in various weather conditions
