Lead with Purpose in a Patient‑Focused Ambulatory Surgery Center
We are seeking an experienced and community‑minded Surgery Center Administrator to lead the daily operations of a high‑quality ambulatory surgery center (ASC). This role is ideal for a hands‑on healthcare leader who values strong physician relationships, regulatory excellence, and personalized patient care in a close‑knit surgical environment.
The Administrator works closely with the Governing Board, physicians, and staff to ensure safe, efficient ASC operations while supporting long‑term sustainability and a positive workplace culture.
What You’ll Do:
ASC Operations & Strategic Leadership

Provide overall administrative and operational leadership for the ambulatory surgery center

Partner with the Governing Board and corporate leadership to guide strategic planning and operational priorities

Monitor trends in ambulatory surgery, reimbursement, and healthcare regulations to support informed decision‑making
Staff Leadership & Development

Recruit, hire, develop, and retain clinical and administrative staff

Lead performance management, coaching, and staff development efforts

Foster a teamwork‑focused culture that supports employee engagement and retention
Clinical Quality & Patient Care

Ensure delivery of safe, high‑quality surgical care consistent with ASC best practices

Oversee clinical services, nursing standards, and patient care activities
-
Assess quality outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives
ASC Compliance & Accreditation

Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage, state regulations, and accrediting organizations

Maintain readiness for surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews

Ensure adherence to Center policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
Financial & Business Management

Assist with annual budgeting, financial monitoring, and cost‑effective resource utilization

Oversee contracts, vendor relationships, and payer interactions

Support operational efficiency in a lower‑volume ASC environment
Physician & Community Relationships

Recruit and retain physician partners and users

Build strong, collaborative relationships with surgeons, staff, patients, and families

Promote physician satisfaction and alignment with Center operations
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
-
Five (5) years of experience in medical administration with responsibility for administrative supervision preferred

Two (2) years of experience with clinical supervision in a surgical or ambulatory surgery center setting preferred

Experience overseeing clinical operations, staff leadership, and day‑to‑day ASC operations

Familiarity with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements preferred

Experience supporting business office functions and physician relationships in a surgery center environment preferred
