Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of payroll management systems and accounting software, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations to support the hospital’s operational excellence.
Duties
- Run bi-weekly payroll start to finish
- Audit timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies before each run
- Process new hires, terminations, rate changes, and direct deposit updates
- Manage garnishments, benefit deductions, and voluntary withholdings
- Reconcile payroll registers to the general ledger
- Support quarterly and year-end filings, W-2s, and ACA reporting
Requirements
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Multi-entity or multi-company payroll experience a plus
- Solid understanding of federal and state wage, hour, and tax rules
- Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
