Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Perform therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve function.
- Support patient care activities by monitoring progress, providing education on exercises and mobility strategies, and ensuring safety during therapy sessions.
- Conduct assessments related to physiology and anatomy to help tailor interventions effectively for outpatient, inpatient, or home health settings.
- Participate in discharge planning by preparing patients for continued care at home or in other facilities, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program is required.
- Physical Therapist Assistant License (Oregon)
- Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire
- One (1) year of clinic experience in comparable setting, preferred.
- Knowledge base applicable to patient load at KSMC, preferred.
- Skills in group dynamics, leading classes, preferred
