We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse RN to join a highly respected Progressive Care Unit PCU in Indianapolis, IN. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast paced, patient focused environment with outstanding pay and a supportive clinical team.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Progressive Care Unit PCU patients.
- Monitor patients using bedside cardiac monitoring systems.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record EMR.
Unit Details
- Progressive Care Unit PCU
- All patients are on bedside cardiac monitors.
- Typical 1 to 4 RN to patient ratio.
- 36 hours per week.
- Every other weekend required.
- One major holiday required per contract.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN License or Compact RN License.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Stepdown, Telemetry, or Critical Care experience preferred.
- Strong cardiac monitoring and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
