The Legal Talent Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Legal Talent Department, assisting with key aspects of the attorney life cycle, including bar admission tracking, departures, new hire onboarding and the associate review process.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain up to date office files, databases, confidential records, forms and other related information for the department verifying data for accuracy and completeness; other general administrative duties.
Process, track, follow-up on, and monitor bar admissions, including for new hires; prepare bar affidavits; liaise with Purchasing to process business cards for newly admitted attorneys; and provide regular updates to Director of Legal Talent.
Process attorney departures, including sending departure procedures to departing attorneys, notifying relevant internal departments, and terminating attorneys in applicable systems.
Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including but not limited to reviewing background checks; liaising with the Conflicts department for conflict checks; tracking onboarding documents; processing stipends and salary advances’ sending pre-start communications; and facilitating new hire orientations for lateral hires.

Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
