Project Coordinator wanted for Highly diverse Custom Steel Fabricator
Description:
As a Project Coordinator you will work with all company departments, to ensure jobs/projects are executed per specification, on time, on budget and in an efficient manner from receipt of PO all the way to invoicing.
Provide support to operations and management by organizing and analyzing critical data to drive constant improvement.
Facilitate internal communication between departments and externally with customers (as a primary point of contact) and vendors as may be needed.
Exercise a strong understanding of daily operations and processes to determine best methods for achieving company goals and ensuring assigned jobs/projects are successful.
Responsibilities:
- Takes ownership of assigned jobs/projects – start to finish
- Anticipate execution risks and take steps to mitigate
- Communicate dates, budgets, and timelines
- Monitor the progress of assigned jobs through the entire life cycle and seek to help resolve issues encountered that put the company at risk.
- Primary point of customer contact, pro-actively communicate with customers on issues and timing
- Assist in various financial and variance reporting and analysis
General requirements:
- Previous experience Coordinating and Managing Fabrication jobs is highly desired
- Highly organized, disciplined, and methodical approach to all work activities
- Professional maturity and self-driven desire to advance in the company and assume additional responsibilities
- Familiarity with a highly detailed Quality Management System such as API, AISC, or ASME
- Ability to independently multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident in ability to make judgement calls based on well-reasoned analysis
- Highly effective, clear, concise, and polished verbal and written communication skills
- Must be computer proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office Applications, in particular Excel, and be able to operate with speed and highly detailed accuracy
- Currently possess ability to legally work in the USA.
