As a Facilities Technician 1, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping Maverik stores running safely, efficiently, and reliably every day. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and using a variety of trade skills to support store operations across multiple systems and equipment.

Location/Schedule: This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule.
Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:-
The Facilities Technician 1 is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance across Maverik store facilities and equipment. This role supports operational uptime by handling electrical, plumbing, structural, and mechanical repairs while ensuring equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on store equipment and building systems.

Diagnose mechanical issues and repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.

Complete basic trade work including electrical, plumbing, wiring, and equipment repairs.

Maintain and repair specialized food service equipment and machinery.

Review gauges, indicators, and testing devices to ensure proper equipment functionality.

Perform general building repairs including drywall, roofing, flooring, painting, doors, windows, and structural upkeep.
You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:-
1+ years of maintenance, facilities, mechanical, or related technical experience.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing building systems, equipment, or machinery.

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Experience using ticket management systems such as ServiceNow or Cherwell.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00 /hr. + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
