Grading Foreman
The Earle Companies is seeking an experienced Grading Foreman to join our team. This position will oversee grading operations for sitework and utility projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate grading crews on sitework, excavation, and utility projects
- Read and interpret site plans, grades, and blueprints
- Manage daily operations including earthmoving, rough/fine grading, and site prep
- Coordinate equipment, manpower, and materials to maintain project schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, and utility crews
- Perform grade checks using laser levels, GPS, and other surveying equipment
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of grading/sitework experience, with leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and earthwork operations
- Experience operating equipment such as dozers, excavators, and loaders is a plus
- Ability to read plans and understand elevations and site layouts
- Knowledge of GPS machine control and grade systems preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
