Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on assigned routes.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo as per safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver.
- 3 years recent, verifiable experience.
- Must pass drug screen at time of hire and participate in random drug testing.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the trucking industry.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
