Job Overview
We are seeking an HVAC CAD Drafter to support ductwork, piping, and mechanical coordination drawings for residential and commercial projects across New York. The role involves preparing shop drawings, updating plans from redlines, and supporting construction teams with accurate and buildable layouts. A portfolio of HVAC ductwork and piping drawings will be required as part of the screening process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC ductwork layouts and piping drawings
- Produce shop drawings and coordination plans
- Update drawings based on redlines, field changes, and markups
- Support project managers with as built documentation
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications and construction requirements
- Work independently in fast paced environments
Required Qualifications
- Strong AutoCAD experience
- Experience producing HVAC ductwork drawings
- Experience producing piping layouts
- Ability to interpret redlines, sketches, and field notes
- Experience preparing shop drawings for mechanical systems
- Comfort supporting construction and coordination teams
- Ability to provide a portfolio of HVAC ductwork and piping drawings
