Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Togo/Foodrunner to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. You will coordinate seating arrangements, manage takeout orders, and deliver food swiftly and courteously. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create a memorable dining experience for every guest. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Assist guests with their inquiries, providing menu guidance and restaurant information
- Take and accurately relay takeout and delivery orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Ensure timely delivery of food to dine-in customers and takeout guests, maintaining high service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand, dining area, and takeout station
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate order flow and guest needs
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling reservations, inquiries, or takeout orders
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
Skills
- Prior experience as a Host or in a similar host/hostess role within a food service environment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with guest relations, serving, and hotel or hospitality environments is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and guest interaction skills
- Familiarity with food delivery processes and takeout procedures
- Passion for hospitality with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
