Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find products suited to their needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and detailed explanations
- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Upsell products by highlighting new arrivals, promotions, or complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain accurate stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting inventory checks regularly
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding cannabis sales, ID verification, and age restrictions
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism, providing clear information about products or store policies
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging product displays attractively and ensuring store cleanliness and organization
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a customer-focused environment such as dispensaries or specialty stores
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or training new staff
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex product details clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and cash drawer handling is essential
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising practices, and stock management processes
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with professional customer service skills to handle inquiries courteously
