Cross Dock Operations Supervisor
This position manages day-to-day operations of cross-dock processes: Goods unloaded, sorted and segregated by asset, received and or logged, appropriately labeled stored at PMF,or shipped and loaded in cargo carrying units - “CCU”. The position must ensure and provide internal and external depts with the necessary paperwork for Freight identification. The position also manages value-added service such as repacking and or measuring when required for some products. The ultimate goal is to receive goods accurately and timely to assure the PMF can deliver the right product, quantity, on time and place.

Your role on the team:
- Creates a working environment that assures the Health and Safety (H&S) of workers in the Cross Dock area, including identification and management of occupational risk.
- Manages cross dock warehouse policies and procedures and works to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Recommends Physical capacity, layout and staffing for the cross-dock area.
- Leads the inbound quarantine resolutions and manages inbound complaint/issue registration.
- Supervises outbound load sheets and associate work in collaboration with Operations team / Logistics Coordinator
- Analyzes client and supply problems requiring action and conducts root cause and corrective actions. Creates recommendation for systemic inbound issues resolution.
- Coordinates with Facility lead, Material coordinators, Geodis ILVC, and offshore operations and other department leads within PMF.
- Supports the employee life cycle including selection, monitor daily employee performance, coaching, objectives, development, including performance deficiencies and motivation of cross dock staff.
- Oversees inbound and outbound Hazardous material/ Material Safety datasheet for goods flowing through the cross dock/
- Project management of cost savings, process improvements/ harmonization and/or infrastructure changes
- As required and assigned
- Supports GEODIS’ programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality , Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability
What you need:
- 3 years’ experience as a supervisor or relevant role in Warehousing and/or Manufacturing area
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management systems & processes MS Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel,
- Hazardous material certification
- Heavy equipment lifting and movement experience.
- Experience in Process Improvement implementation preferred
- Experience with SAP IT system preferred
- TWIC certification and offshore experience preferred
- Lean certification preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
