Job Description
The Human Resources Market Director serves as a strategic partner for the assigned Shriners Children’s facilities. This position serves as a senior level HR specialist and consultant to market leadership and the workforce, driving the implementation of system-wide policies and procedures. In addition, this position leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, performance standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce that is highly productive and engaged. The Market Director works closely with the Corporate VP of Human Resources and other corporate leadership and staff to coordinate implementation of services, policies and programs.
This position will support facilities in our Western Region (California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah). Occasional travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverages a strong knowledge of HR disciplines and principles to facilitate and produce integrated solutions improving organizational, leadership and workforce performance
Applies a working knowledge and comprehensive understanding of all key components of HR: advising, coaching or leading areas while leveraging Corporate HR bench-strengthen.
Acts as business strategist and support through leveraging an understanding of health care functions, structures and processes to identify opportunities.
Facilitates and guides change by oversight of formalized change management processes to ensure success.
Solicits and shares information, both written and verbal regarding HR policies and procedures.
Assures compliance with all human capital regulatory requirements across the market. Responsibilities include assuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities
Ensures employees throughout the region are treated fairly and equally.
Demonstrates knowledge of laws governing human resources practices and in partnership with the Directors of Corporate HR, Corporate Compliance and Employee Relations, ensures the organization complies with all local and national regulations.
Effectively manages market HR staff.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
10+ years Human Resources Experience
5+ years Human Resources Management/Supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
The pay range for this position is $143,374.40 - $333,335.81. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
