Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including requisition review, supplier selection, and order placement within ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, logistics, inventory management, and merchandising to forecast needs and coordinate timely procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop strategic sourcing initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and innovative sourcing opportunities that support cost reduction and process improvements.
- Oversee inventory control measures and ensure optimal stock levels through effective materials management practices such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and inventory management systems.
Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems including SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 for procurement activities.
- Strong knowledge of materials management, supply chain management, inventory control, logistics, and production planning.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record in securing favorable pricing and contractual terms.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms related to procurement and sourcing activities.
- Ability to analyze market trends and leverage data for strategic sourcing decisions.
- Familiarity with contracts management, pricing strategies, and procurement best practices.
