The Transportation DMV Agent 1 in this position reports to the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Winfield Regional Office in Putnam County. Under general supervision, the selected applicant performs full-performance level public contact work involving the processing, recording, and issuance of drivers’ license, vehicle registration, vehicle titles, and related documents. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties as required.
Pay Grade 10
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION: Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.
Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Work schedules are assigned and rotated on a regular basis. Overtime Hours may be required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation.
