Duties
- Lead engaging Pilates classes and private sessions tailored to diverse client needs and skill levels
- Cue and briefly demonstrate proper technique and body mechanics to ensure safe and effective exercise execution
- Design personalized workout programs incorporating Pilates principles alongside complementary disciplines such as yoga, dance, or sports coaching
- Monitor client progress, provide gentle correction, and adjust routines to optimize results
- Maintain a clean, organized studio environment while adhering to health and safety protocols including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and manual handling procedures
- Promote membership sales by educating clients on the benefits of Pilates and related fitness offerings
- Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and continuing education in biomechanics, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and program design
Skills
- 450 hour minimum comprehensive certification in Pilates with knowledge on anatomy
- Proficiency in group fitness instruction with experience in teaching diverse populations
- Strong understanding of health club operations, gym experience, and fitness sales techniques
- Ability to verbally cue effectively and ensure safety of members while effectively teaching a Pilates focused class
- Excellent coaching skills with the ability to motivate clients and foster a positive environment
- Familiarity with manual handling procedures and injury prevention strategies
- Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation are required for safety compliance
- Experience working within health clubs or fitness centers is highly desirable
