GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties involve assisting in preparation and distribution of food for a Head Star/Pre-K Center according to a planned menu and following a portion control system. Custodial duties include cleaning floors, walls, windows, restroom and kitchen.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Must be able to read and follow recipes and cooking guides in preparing large quantities of food for pre-school aged children. Six to twelve months’ experience in a commercial-type kitchen or equivalent formal training. Prefer experience in handling and preparing food from a planned menu and have CACFP knowledge. A current physical, TB skin test or chest X-Ray, drug test, and background check are required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. A current physical, TB Screening or chest X-Ray, drug test, and background check are required prior to being hired. Applicants should list bilingual skills if applicable
