American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience, ACLS certification, and a TX or compact RN license.

Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
-
Cath lab team performs emergency and elective angioplasty and provides therapies such as drug-eluting stents, electrophysiology, and pacemaker implantation

Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

40 hours per week

On-call is required

13-week contract
-
Active TX or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS

CPI certification required
-
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
-
Minimum 2 years of prior US hospital experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab specialty required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in monitoring, diagnostic, and therapeutic electrophysiology studies required

Recent acute care experience required

Familiarity with Micropace is helpful

US SSN required for consideration

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying most recent experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Delivers patient care in accordance with current licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements to meet the needs of patients, families, and the community

Willingness to help educate facility staff is a key expectation of this role

All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
