Job Summary:
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality food production.
- Adhere to food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to menu planning and assist in creating new dishes.
- Work efficiently during peak hours to meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Catering:
- Assist in catering events by preparing and presenting dishes as per requirements.
- Coordinate with the catering team to ensure seamless execution of events.
Kitchen Operations:
- Execute meal preparation tasks according to recipes and guidelines.
- Handle food with care, following proper hygiene practices throughout the cooking process.
Menu Planning:
- Contribute ideas for menu enhancements and participate in menu development.
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Food Handling:
- Safely handle, store, and rotate food products to prevent spoilage.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies.
Culinary Skills:
- Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods.
- Uphold culinary standards set by the restaurant.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in the food industry.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special requests.
- Familiarity with restaurant kitchen operations and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training is a plus.
