Business Analyst II
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Work Arrangement: Full-time, onsite Monday through Friday
Salary: $75,000 per year

Security Requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the government-required security clearance or access determination and successfully complete a Tier 1 background investigation
Position Summary
Alkanna Consulting is seeking a qualified Business Analyst II to support a federal healthcare information technology program in San Antonio, Texas. The Business Analyst II will analyze business processes and systems, translate operational needs into clear technical and user requirements, identify opportunities for performance improvement, and support the design and implementation of practical business solutions.The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders to document requirements, analyze existing processes and procedures, maintain project-management information, and communicate progress throughout the project lifecycle.This position requires onsite attendance in San Antonio Monday through Friday. Remote and hybrid work are not available for this role.Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes, systems, methods, schedules, and procedures to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business-process needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
- Determine, document, and maintain user and business-process requirements for current and future initiatives.
- Support business-process and systems design, improvement, and implementation activities.
- Use available systems, organizational resources, and analytical methods to evaluate performance and recommend practical business solutions.
- Develop and maintain management plans and supporting documentation for assigned projects.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and provide clear updates regarding project progress, requirements, decisions, and upcoming activities.
- Review and analyze information, forecasts, schedules, processes, procedures, and proposed changes.
- Support activities involving configuration management, strategic planning, knowledge management, business analysis, and technical analysis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain any U.S. Government security clearance, access determination, or suitability designation required for the position.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Tier 1 government background investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and additional relevant experience permitted under the applicable contract requirements.
- At least four years of progressive experience demonstrating proficiency in business analysis or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes and systems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and user requirements.
- Experience translating business-process needs into technical or functional requirements.
- Ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and communicate project status and requirements clearly.
- Ability to review and analyze organizational information, methods, schedules, systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas, Monday through Friday.
