American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Austin, TX, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and multiple required certifications including NRP and fetal monitoring.

Work takes place on a 32-bed Labor & Delivery unit (Dept 708) located on the 4th floor of a hospital in Austin, TX
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Alternating weekends required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Patient ratio is 1:2, with charge and co-charge nurse support on both day and night shifts
-
Unit staffed by approximately 150 staff members
-
Common procedures include SVDs, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLACs
-
Equipment used includes Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
-
EMR system is Meditech
-
6-week contract duration
-
Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (AAP Advanced 9th Edition), S.T.A.B.L.E., and Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (or NCCEFM)

All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience required

Demonstrated competency in EFM, SVE, and C-section circulation required

SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Preferred candidates will have internal monitor placement competency, prior HCA assignment experience, or experience in a high-volume Level IV L&D unit

Navy blue scrubs required; t-shirts are not acceptable, only solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts
-
No special scheduling or time-off requests will be accommodated for this assignment
