Job Description
3 Generations Surfacing is seeking a dependable and highly organized Procurement Coordinator to support our construction projects during our busy season. This position is responsible for arranging the materials, equipment, and services required at project sites, including dumpsters, machinery, and gravel.
The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works well under pressure, and can coordinate multiple projects while keeping accurate records. This is a fast-paced role where timing matters—late equipment or materials can delay an entire project.
Responsibilities
- Procure and schedule dumpsters, machinery, gravel, and other project materials
- Coordinate deliveries, equipment rentals, pickups, exchanges, and removals
- Contact vendors to obtain pricing, confirm availability, and place orders
- Review project schedules and ensure required resources arrive on time
- Verify delivery addresses, quantities, equipment specifications, and jobsite requirements
- Communicate with project managers, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
- Monitor active orders and quickly resolve delays, shortages, or incorrect deliveries
- Track purchase orders, rental agreements, delivery tickets, and vendor confirmations
- Compare vendor pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Assist with invoice verification and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate procurement records for each project
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Comfortable making phone calls and negotiating with vendors
- Able to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Basic computer and email proficiency
- Microsoft Excel experience preferred
- Construction, purchasing, logistics, dispatching, or equipment-rental experience preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
- Must be dependable and available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
