We’re recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join an established Plastics Manufacturer in Erie, PA.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, maintaining injection moulding and automated production equipment while supporting plant reliability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults including motors and controls
- Replace bearings, rewire motors and verify repairs on automated systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot injection moulding machines and related equipment
- Participate in equipment installations, upgrades and modifications
- Support PLC monitoring and troubleshooting activities
- Perform welding and fabrication as required
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals and technical documentation
- Support machinery installation, assembly and commissioning activities
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Experience working with industrial machinery and facility equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
