Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Long Term Substitute Teacher to step into classrooms and maintain a dynamic learning environment for students over an extended period. This role involves delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behavior, and supporting students’ educational development in alignment with curriculum standards. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning experience for diverse learners.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher or develop your own based on curriculum guidelines.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive environment.
- Deliver instruction across various subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education, tailored to students’ developmental levels.
- Support students’ social-emotional needs and promote positive interactions among peers.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with special needs or those requiring individualized attention, including working with children with autism or in special education settings.
- Assess student progress through informal observations and provide feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with school staff and communicate effectively with parents or guardians when necessary.
Pay: $150.00 - $250.00 per day
