POSITION: FULL-TIME SAFETY TECH (MIDLAND, TX)
Tanner Services is an oilfield construction and service company with over 40 years of experience. We are seeking a safety tech whose responsibilities will include ensuring governmental regulatory compliance in all areas related to safety and providing support to construction activities by conducting safety meetings, work site and equipment inspections, accident investigations, employee injury assessments with follow-ups, and employee training. JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to ensure governmental regulatory compliance in all areas related to safety and provide support to construction activities by conducting safety meetings, work site and equipment inspections, accident investigations, employee injury assessment with follow-up, and coordination of employee training programs. Acts as liaison with community emergency response agencies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Investigate property damage accidents, prepare required reports, and communicate information to appropriate locations.
- Investigate employee injury accidents, escort injured to doctor, prepare written reports, communicate information to appropriate locations, and provide follow-up to ensure successful conclusion to incident.
- Conduct routine documented inspections of all work sites and equipment to ensure compliance with company safety policies, and provide on-site hazards assessment with coordinated corrective action if necessary.
- Plan and present weekly safety meetings.
- Plan and present monthly safety meetings.
- Plan and present additional safety meetings on an as-required basis.
- Maintain and monitor employee training records for re-training and updates.
- Review and file all JSA’s.
- Update 6-month employees at least monthly.
- Assist in field hiring as required.
- Prepare summary of previous week’s activity.
- Collect and coordinate quarterly random drug and alcohol tests.
- Take weekend call duty every other weekend. JOB Requirements:
- Must live within 50 miles of Midland, Texas
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must have valid driver's license
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
- Be able to work in outside conditions
- Have strong computer skills (word, excel, power point)
