About Jarheads Lawn Services
Jarheads Lawn Services is a veteran-owned lawn care company serving primarily Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas.
We are growing and looking for an experienced Lawn Care Crew Leader / Lead Technician who wants more responsibility than simply operating a mower.
This is a hands-on field leadership position. The right person will work alongside the crew while helping manage daily route execution, quality control, equipment, and crew performance.
Our goal is to develop this position into a trusted field leader who can eventually run daily operations independently without the owner needing to be present on every job site.
Important — Reporting Location
Our company truck, trailer, and equipment are currently staged at our Bandera-area equipment yard.
You must have reliable transportation and be able to report there on time each scheduled workday.
From there, the company truck and equipment are driven to our primary service routes in Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch and returned at the end of the workday.

What You'll Do
- Lead and work alongside a lawn maintenance crew.
- Drive a company truck and safely tow a landscape trailer.
- Complete residential lawn-maintenance routes efficiently.
- Operate commercial zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
- Mow, trim, edge, and blow properties to Jarheads quality standards.
- Assign and coordinate work between crew members.
- Perform final quality-control checks before leaving properties.
- Maintain route pace and help keep the crew on schedule.
- Properly load, secure, and care for company equipment.
- Perform basic daily equipment inspections and report problems before they cause downtime.
- Follow customer property notes, gate instructions, and service requirements.
- Identify property or customer issues and communicate them promptly.
- Take responsibility when something is missed and help get it corrected.
- Help train and develop other technicians.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude around customers.
What We're Looking For
Strong candidates will have:
- 2+ years of professional lawn care or landscape-maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous crew-leader, foreman, or field-lead experience strongly preferred.
- Experience operating commercial zero-turn mowing equipment.
- Experience driving a pickup truck while towing and backing a landscape trailer.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable for operating a company vehicle.
- Reliable personal transportation to the Bandera-area reporting location.
- Ability to work outdoors in Texas heat and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong dependability and punctuality.

Compensation
Starting compensation is $20–$23 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability.

- Commercial mower ability
- Truck and trailer experience
- Quality of work
- Leadership ability
- Reliability
- Ability to independently run a route
