Position Summary
At Legami, we believe great hospitality begins in the kitchen. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team and support the execution of a refined Italian dining experience rooted in tradition, technique, and consistency.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, values teamwork, and takes pride in producing high-quality food with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily service, including portioning, slicing, chopping, and stocking stations
- Execute menu items according to Chef Andrea Congiusta’s standards, recipes, and plating expectations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of assigned stations throughout service
- Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, sauté stations, fryers, and prep tools
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and storage procedures in accordance with health department standards
- Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with receiving deliveries, labeling products, rotating inventory, and minimizing waste
- Support the team during high-volume service while maintaining composure and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant environment preferred
- Understanding of kitchen workflow, food preparation methods, and cooking fundamentals
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-energy environment while maintaining consistency
- Strong sense of urgency, organization, and teamwork
- Reliable attendance and willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; certification is a plus
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
