Warehouse Associate
Job Overview
As a growing company in the southeastern region of the United States, Acoustical Solutions is proud to expand our operations department by hiring an additional Warehouse Associate. This role will be familiar with day-to-day shipping and receiving functions that include preparing and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products.
This is more than just a material handler or a picking and packing position. The right candidate will have experience in cycle counting, maintaining inventories in systems and a person who will take initiative to get to the root cause of an issue and wants to correct it. An ideal candidate will have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required in all cases. Degrees beyond high school are preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in WorldShip, FedEx and LTL shipments.
- Attention to detail skills, goal-oriented, organized and have well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving history.
- CDL License a plus
- Strong computer skills including MS office and ERP software.
- Continuous Improvement/Lean business practices preferred.
- Excellent communication skills via Teams, email, text or phone.
Duties:
- Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Verifies quantity and quality of orders received and inspects goods for damage.
- Delivers and retrieves supplies to and from multiple work areas and warehouses.
- Stocks shelves and rotates inventory.
- Participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard.
- Maintains shipping, receiving, electronic and paper records.
- Coordinates LTL/Freight with multiple vendors.
- Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling.
- Reads, understands and follows standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Wraps, packages, and ships outbound orders.
- Adheres to company core values.
- Consistently on time and ready to work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
- Stand, sit, move, squat, and walk
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Pass background, motor vehicle record and drug screening
Work Location
Two locations in the Richmond Metro area, 11 miles apart, daily transport of materials between warehouses using company vehicle.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
