Southern Bus & Mobility is looking for a full-time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our Breese, IL office. This person will be the first point of contact for many of our customers and will play an important role in keeping our front office organized, professional, and running smoothly.
The main responsibility of this position is answering incoming phone calls, helping customers get to the right person, taking accurate messages, and assisting with basic questions. Our business moves quickly, so we are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm and organized in a busy office environment.
This role will also assist with rental scheduling, vehicle title/licensing paperwork after training, greeting walk-in customers, mail, filing, scanning, office supplies, and other day-to-day administrative support.
What You’ll Do
- Answer incoming phone calls and route callers to the correct person or department.
- Greet walk-in customers and direct them appropriately.
- Take clear and accurate messages when employees are unavailable.
- Answer basic customer questions regarding hours, location, rental availability, pickup/return times, and general company information.
- Assist with rental calls, rental scheduling, customer information, rental paperwork, and calendar updates.
- Assist with vehicle title and licensing paperwork after training.
- Help with mail, filing, scanning, invoice mailing, and other routine administrative tasks.
- Order office supplies, snacks, and other front office items as needed.
- Keep the front desk and office area organized and professional.
- Use company systems including our phone system, rental system, CRM, DMV / title portals, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
- Support the front office team with day-to-day administrative needs.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- One-hour lunch

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
