Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial chemical processing equipment within a manufacturing environment. Duties
- Operate chemical processing equipment in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other manufacturing and agency guidelines.
- Handle and transfer industrial chemicals safely using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts and material carts.
- Monitor process parameters, perform quality checks, and document production data accurately throughout shifts.
- Follow all safety protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and chemical-resistant clothing.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in packaging finished products, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards and legal requirements.
- Support laboratory testing procedures when necessary to verify product specifications and process integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments, particularly within pharmaceutical or industrial chemical production facilities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and machining tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory/legal compliance standards specific to chemical manufacturing.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording accuracy.
- Knowledge of industrial chemical handling procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of PPE such as respiratory protection.
- Experience working with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory testing protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and perform routine manual tasks in varying temperatures and environments.
