About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Milling Machinist to be an integral part of our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. Your expertise in machining and commitment to quality will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional products.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including Fanuc and Haas controlled machines, to perform various machining operations.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T to ensure accurate component specifications and tolerances.
- Select appropriate tooling and determine optimal cutting parameters to achieve desired surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct precision measurements using instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to validate conformance to specifications.
- Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges, including tool wear, machine malfunctions, and programming errors, to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and quality control results to ensure traceability and process control.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal machining apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
- Proven experience with Fanuc and Haas controls.
- Proficiency in CNC Milling techniques and best practices.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Experience with Makino CNC Milling machines.
- Experience with programming CNC milling machines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
