POSITION SUMMARY – DISHWASHER Morning

ensure that all utensils, bowls, pots, and surfaces are always clean, organized, and ready
for use, directly contributing to food safety, team efficiency, and a positive customer

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
EFFICIENT WASHING:
- Bowls, cutlery, pots, utensils, and equipment used in the kitchen and dining area.
- Use the correct washing and sanitizing techniques and products.
- Complete all tasks within the time scheduled on the shift plan.
ORGANIZATION & RESTOCKING:
- Organize washed items in the proper locations for easy access by the team.
- Restock the cutlery and utensil station as needed.
CLEANLINESS & HYGIENE OF WORK AREA:
- Keep the sink area clean at all times, with no buildup of dirty dishes or trash.
- Regularly empty the trash and sanitize surfaces and the floor in the washing area.
- Ensure the dishwashing machine (if present) is always clean and working properly.
GENERAL KITCHEN SUPPORT:
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning when needed.
- Work closely with preppers and cooks to help maintain the workflow.
FOOD SAFETY & BEST PRACTICES:
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper use of cleaning products.
- Perform the sanitizer pH test daily; if not within the correct range, report it ASAP to your manager.
- Wear protective gear like gloves and apron, and report any issues in the area to your supervisor.
TEAMWORK WITH A CUSTOMER-FOCUSED MINDSET:
At Aubergine Kitchen, we are all responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience. Beyond your daily tasks, you may also be asked to assist in other areas during peak hours or downtime, such as:
- Clearing bowls and cutlery from tables after use.
- Helping clean and organize the dining room (tables, chairs, floor).
- Restocking disposable utensils, napkins, and bags at the self-service station.
- Supporting teammates or other departments as needed, always with a focus on customer satisfaction.
REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Attention to detail to ensure complete cleanliness of all utensils, bowls, pots, andsurfaces.
- Speed and efficiency to handle a high volume of dishes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
- Responsibility and commitment to the kitchen’s and team’s routines.
- Good communication with coworkers and leadership.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn company procedures.
- Resilience to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus or quality.
- Carefulness to avoid breaking bowls or other items.
- Proficiency in English sufficient for clear communication with team members; bilingual skills are a plus.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- No previous experience required, but restaurant experience is a plus.
- Successfully complete the initial training provided by the company.
- Present a valid Food Handler certificate within 14 days of hire.
- Experience is preferential, not mandatory; support for certifications will be provided if needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE
ACCOMMODATIONS):
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Available to work 30–40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
- Willing to stand for long periods in a hot and humid environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and carry objects up to 50 lbs (approx. 22 kg).
- Agility to move safely in wet or slippery areas.
- Ability to consistently perform repetitive manual tasks.
