Job Summary
Scotty's Tap House is seeking a dependable, energetic, and guest-focused Assistant Floor Manager / Beer Wall Supervisor to oversee the front entrance, host stand, and self-pour beer wall operations. This position plays a key leadership role by managing guest flow, supporting the front-of-house team, supervising the beer wall during late-night operations, and ensuring every guest has an outstanding experience.
This is a hands-on leadership position that requires excellent communication, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests while creating a friendly first impression.
- Manage the host stand, reservations, waitlist, and seating chart.
- Coordinate table assignments to maximize restaurant efficiency.
- Support servers, bartenders, and hosts throughout the shift.
- Monitor dining room operations and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Supervise the self-pour beer wall during late-night operations.
- Verify IDs and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with Virginia ABC laws.
- Activate, issue, and monitor beer wall cards.
- Assist guests with using the beer wall and answer questions about beer selections.
- Monitor guest activity around the beer wall and ensure all policies are followed.
- Keep the beer wall area clean, stocked, and organized.
- Assist with opening, shift changes, and closing procedures.
- Ensure menus, beer lists, bourbon menus, and promotional materials are presented to guests.
- Coordinate large parties, private events, and reservations with management.
- Train and support hosts and beer wall attendants.
- Communicate with managers regarding operational concerns and staffing needs.
- Jump in to assist with food running, bussing, greeting guests, or other front-of-house duties as needed.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant leadership, shift lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling guest concerns with professionalism.
- Knowledge of POS systems and reservation platforms is a plus.
- Must be able to work evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
