Pay Rate: $60/hr
Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Evening shift, 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Total Working Hours per week: 40 hours
Experience: Minimum 1 year of adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric experience
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse Float Psych for a 13-week evening shift assignment in Holyoke, MA. This role supports adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric care in a behavioral health setting. The nurse must be comfortable floating to similar or lower-acuity units and taking charge when needed.
Responsibilities
Provide direct and indirect psychiatric nursing care.
Support adult and adolescent inpatient behavioral health patients.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed care environment.
Participate in treatment planning with the multidisciplinary team.
Develop, implement, and document patient goals and interventions.
Use de-escalation and crisis intervention skills when needed.
Float to similar or lower-acuity units as required.
Take charge responsibilities when assigned.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams.
Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
Requirements
Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required at submission.
Minimum 1 year of adult and adolescent inpatient psych experience required.
CPR certification required.
Psychiatric/substance abuse inpatient experience preferred.
Restraint reduction, de-escalation, or crisis intervention experience preferred.
Must be willing to float.
Must be willing to take charge.
Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Strong critical thinking, communication, crisis management, and teamwork skills required.
