We are currently seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. This position can be full time or part time in nature.
Job Description: As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Blossom Pediatric Therapy Partners, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with various developmental and sensory challenges. Your mission will be to enhance their quality of life and promote independence through personalized, community-based occupational therapy services. Services typically take place either in-home, in-daycare, or in-school.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Provide occupational therapy sessions to children, adapting techniques and activities to meet the child's specific needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers and other members of the child's healthcare team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to therapy.
- Regularly evaluate and document the child's progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers and caregivers on therapeutic activities and strategies that can be carried out between sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and other documentation as required by regulatory agencies, including ETRs and IEPs.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric occupational therapy through continuing education and professional development.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with clients and their families.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.
- Travel between locations as needed to meet family and school's needs.
Requirements:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio.
- Pediatric occupational therapy experience is preferred, but new graduates with a strong passion for working with children are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for in-home visits.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and provide professional references.
