Front Desk / Salon ReceptionistJob Overview
Martin’s Hair Studio is seeking a friendly, dependable, patient, and organized Front Desk / Salon Receptionist to help support the daily operations of our salon.
Our salon is located inside Garden Spot Village, a retirement community in New Holland, Pennsylvania, and we have the privilege of serving many older adults. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors and is patient, kind, respectful, and willing to provide a little extra assistance when needed.
Our salon has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. While the pace is generally comfortable, there are times when the front desk can become busy and several things may need attention at once. The ideal person can comfortably multitask, stay organized, and remain friendly and patient during these busier periods.
The front desk is a very important part of our clients’ experience. You are often the first person a client sees when they arrive and the last person they see before they leave. Your smile, attitude, and willingness to help set the tone for their entire visit. We want every client to feel welcomed, valued, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. At the same time, the front desk plays an important role in keeping the daily operations of the salon organized and running smoothly.

The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, helpful, and comfortable working with people.
Because we serve many seniors, patience is especially important. Some clients may need a little extra time or assistance, and we want someone who enjoys providing that help and makes every client feel welcome.
There will also be times when the salon gets busy. The phone may ring while a client is checking out or someone else is waiting to schedule an appointment. We don't expect everything to be done at once. We simply need someone who can stay organized, prioritize what needs attention, and continue treating everyone with patience and kindness.
We also believe that accountability and a willingness to learn are important. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. What matters to us is having someone who cares when something goes wrong, listens to feedback, takes responsibility, corrects the issue when possible, and learns from it going forward.
Most importantly, we want someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in their work, and helps make Martin's Hair Studio a welcoming place for both our clients and staff.
