Residential Staff (PRN) – Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter
Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Days, nights, holidays, and weekends (coverage-based)
Position Overview
Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter (AADVS) is seeking compassionate, dependable PRN Residential Staff to support survivors of domestic violence and their children. This is an on-call and fill-in position and will require some nights, weekends, an holiday shifts. Residential Staff are responsible for maintaining the safety, confidentiality, and daily operations of the shelter while providing trauma-informed, survivor-centered support in a crisis environment.
This position is ideal for individuals who are calm, empathetic, and able to respond thoughtfully to individuals experiencing trauma.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for shelter operations during assigned shifts.
- Maintain a safe, confidential, and trauma-informed environment for all residents.
- Monitor and enforce shelter safety guidelines, policies, and emergency procedures.
- Protect survivor confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.
- Conduct resident intakes, orientations, and departure interviews using a trauma-informed approach.
- Answer the 24-hour hotline and provide crisis intervention, safety planning, initial shelter assessments, and appropriate referrals.
- Respond to domestic violence crisis calls, sexual assault crisis calls, support calls, and other incoming calls.
- Complete accurate documentation including client progress notes, incident reports, and maintenance concerns.
- Perform routine shelter maintenance, cleaning, and laundry tasks as needed.
- Contact on-call staff when additional support or guidance is needed.
- Maintain a respectful, non-judgmental, and empowering approach when working with survivors.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure high-quality services for clients and the community.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other trauma-impacted populations
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
