Infant Teacher-Lead must be present sixty percent of the hours of operation of the infant program and is responsible for the care of the infants. The Infant Program Supervisor will implement and provide a positive learning environment for children to facilitate the mental, physical, social and emotional development of children.
Actively participating in all scheduled Team meetings and participating in trainings as required
Ensure the Infant classroom is in alignment with Health Solutions mission and values
Ensure the Infant classroom is in alignment with all policies and procedures of Health Solutions
Ensure the Infant classroom is in alignment with all Colorado Child Care Rules and Regulations
Responsible for maintaining credentials required for position
Ensure no child is left unsupervised at any time
Ability to follow all reporting of possible child abuse and neglect as a mandated child abuse reporter
Knowledge of Colorado Childcare Licensing Rules and Regulations
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards/boundaries with children/families/staff
Responsible for overseeing, guiding, role modeling and supervision of the infant teacher
Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the infant classroom
Assist with the creation and development of Child Care Licensing Policies and Procedures
Assist with recruitment and scheduling of staff
Ensure a well-run, purposeful classroom responsive to participants needs
Provides a developmentally appropriate healthy and safe learning environment for the children
Planning a comprehensive, multi-cultural curriculum to promote growth and development of children
Responsible for Lesson Plans, Anecdotal Notes, Assessment Data and Tracking and Developmental Screenings
Responsible for record keeping, child data, child files, reports, attendance, meals/feeding times, notes, accident reports, etc.
Knowledge of Part C Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
Responsible for the planning and development of each child’s individual goals to enhance school readiness skills
Responsible for maintaining an organized, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
Responsible for actively participating in planned parent communication on a regular basis
Assist in developing age-appropriate menus, activities, and schedules
Knowledgeable and able to assist with emergency preparedness, fire and tornado drills on a regular basis
Model and practice developmentally appropriate behavior when working with children, families and staff
Responsible for feeding of infants and toddlers preparation of materials for educational activities
Adheres to all health, safety and infant bottle/food handling and sanitation requirements
Responsible for sanitizing of toys and equipment
Responsible for diapering and/or toileting for children
Responsible for supervision of children in care of
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work with all ages of children from infants to 16 years of age
Responsible for handling emergency situations such as first aid, parent contacts, etc.
Performing other job-related duties assigned by the Director or his/her designee
Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and sitting on the floor while interacting with infants and young children
Ability to safely assist children with feeding, diapering, toileting, and other daily care activities
Ability to respond quickly to children's needs and emergency situations
Ability to supervise children in both indoor and outdoor environments for extended periods
Frequent visual observation required to monitor children's safety, behavior, and well-being
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff in person and by telephone
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate classroom equipment, computers, and educational materials
Ability to work in a childcare environment that may involve exposure to noise, cleaning products, and common childhood illnesses
