Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients with precision and care
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and ensuring proper food handling techniques are adhered to
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation aligns with quality standards
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices
- Support catering events or special meal services as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and seamless service flow
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Background in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry demonstrates valuable familiarity with kitchen environments
- Experience in fine dining settings enhances understanding of high-quality presentation and meticulous food handling
- Skills in food preparation, cooking, knife techniques, and meal assembly are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices is required to maintain a safe working environment
- Exposure to catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
